Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel.

Here, we're going to focus on the former, specifically home run props.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some MLB home run props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Please note that betting lines and projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Home Run Props

Ozzie Albies To Hit a Home Run (+440)

The Atlanta Braves and their 4.89 implied run total is always a good spot to look for some home runs.

With power up and down their lineup, it's a matter of sifting through the Braves' matchup and the odds to find a good option. Tonight, that brings me to Ozzie Albies, who is going up against Nick Pivetta.

Last season, Pivetta allowed a .509 SLG, 2.48 HR/9, 42.3% fly-ball rate, and 38.5% hard-contact rate versus left-handed hitters. That is a dangerous set of stats to have at Truist Park on a day with some nice hitting weather.

We turn to Albies, who ended last year with a 111 wRC+, .339 wOBA, .235 ISO, 44.0% fly-ball rate, and 36.8% hard-contact rate against right-handed pitchers. Surrounded by other power hitters, Albies should see plenty of good pitches tonight to try and put one over the fence.

I'll add Albies To Record an RBI (+140), too.

Jose Altuve To Hit a Home Run (+360)

With fantastic hitting conditions at Yankee Stadium, we could see the ball flying tonight.

It's going to be around 80 degrees with 10 mph wind blowing out to center, giving us near-ideal hitting weather. The New York Yankees will have Carlos Rodon on the mound tonight, a pitcher we can absolutely target for home runs.

This season, Rodon has allowed a .452 SLG, 4.96 xFIP, 1.78 HR/9, and 51.1% fly-ball rate to right-handed hitters. That fly ball rate is super high and with this type of favorable hitting weather, there could be multiple home runs on the table for the Houston Astros.

This brings me to Jose Altuve, who ended last year with a 136 wRC+, .367 wOBA, .192 ISO, and 38.8% fly-ball rate versus left-handed pitcher. It's truly a strong matchup for some power, so I'll add Altuve To Record an RBI (+165), too.

Christian Walker To Hit a Home Run (+360)

With an elite home-run-hitting park as the backdrop, we turn to the Cincinnati Reds hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Great American Ball Park is the best venue in the league for home runs and it's a juicy spot to look for some long balls.

The Reds will have Graham Ashcraft on the bump tonight, a pitcher who can be a bit up and down and worth targeting tonight.

Last season, he allowed a .469 SLG, .363 wOBA, 5.25 xFIP, 1.49 HR/9, 33.9% fly-ball rate, and 37.8% hard-contact rate versus right-handed hitters.

So, we go to Christian Walker, who has immense power and is crushing the ball. His Baseball Savant page is off the charts right now and comes in with a 146 wRC+, .379 wOBA, .226 ISO, 42.9% fly-ball rate, and 37.1% hard-contact rate versus righties.

Walker has the power and the matchup we love to see for a homer.
