The Basics
Roulette is one of the most exciting Casino games! The goal of the game is to guess where the ball will land on the wheel. Once you understand the basics, you’ll be ready to head to the online Roulette table, place your bets with confidence, watch the wheel spin and win!
THE TABLE
The Roulette Table
The boxes on a Roulette table represent the different bets you can make, from individual numbers, to groups of numbers, like odd/even, red/black, and more. Keep reading for more info on the types of bets you can place.
The Roulette Wheel
Every number on the Roulette table is represented on the Roulette wheel. Once all bets are placed, the wheel is spun, and the ball will land on a number. Winning bets are all those placed on that number or on any group of numbers that the winning number falls into.
BET TYPES
Outside Bets
These are bets on the outside of the numbers and represent categories of numbers.
Red Or Black Bets
One of the most popular Roulette bets is betting on which color number the ball will land on. There are 18 red and 18 black numbers to choose from. When you bet on the red or black square, you are betting on all 18 of those numbers. This bet pays 1:1.
Odd Or Even Bets
Similar to the red or black bet, you can bet that the winning number will be odd or even. This bet pays 1:1.
High Or Low Bets
You can also bet that the winning number will be a low number (1-18) or a high number (19-36). This bet pays 1:1.
The Dozens Bets
This bet splits the board into three sets of 12 numbers. You can bet on the first set (1-12), second set (13-24) or the third set (25-36). This bet pays 2:1.
The Columns Bets
Similar to the Dozens Bets, the Columns Bets split the board into three sets of 12 numbers. You can place your chip on the column of your choice and you will cover every number in that column. This bet pays 2:1.
Inside Bets
These are bets on the numbers inside the main betting area on the table. You can bet on one or multiple numbers at a time based on where you place your chips.
Straight Up Bets
These are bets on a single number. You can place a straight bet on 0, 00, and numbers 1-36. These bets have the highest payout on the table, paying 35:1.
Split Bets
This is a bet on two numbers. You can make a split bet by placing your chips on the line between two adjoining numbers. These bets pay 17:1.
Street Bets
This is a bet on any row of three numbers. You can make a street bet by placing your chips on the outside border of any row of three numbers. These bets pay 11:1.
Square Bets
This is a bet on any square of four numbers. You can make a square bet by placing your chips in the center of a group of four numbers. These bets pay 8:1.
Basket Bets
This is a bet on the top five numbers on the board (0, 00, 1, 2, & 3). You can make a basket bet by placing your chips in the center of 0, 00, and 2. These bets pay 6:1.
Line Bets
This is a bet on two adjoining rows of three numbers that covers six numbers. You can make this bet by placing your chips on the outside border and the line that connects the two rows. These bets pay 5:1.
