Before you get in on the action, there’s afew simple things that you’ll need to knowabout soccer and how the tournament works.

Neutral Values

All matches are played at neutral sites.
So even though USA, Mexico, and Canada are serving as the host nations, they may still be designated as the ‘away’ team in some matches based on the tournament draw.

The home team will appear on the top or left when placing your bet, while the away team will always appear on the bottom or to the right.

Keep this in mind when you’re betting markets like “Home Team Moneyline” or “Away Team Total Goals.”

For example, USA is listed as the home team in this match, but that won’t always be the case for the entire tournament.

Group Stage

During the Group Stage, teams can advance to the Knockout Round even with a loss or multiple draws, as long as they finish in the top 2 of their group.

Group Stage matches end after regulation time has been completed, which consists of 90 minutes + any additional stoppage time.

And unlike many sports in America, ties can be common when regulation time is over. It’s a legitimate betting option and outcome for any match during the Group Stage.

Knockout Round

Once the Knockout Round begins, there are no more ties.

If a match is tied after the 90 minutes of regulation time, it goes to extra time – which consists of two 15-minute halves.

If the match is still tied, it will then be decided by penalty kicks.

Important: Starting with the Knockout Round, all full game markets (90 minutes + stoppage time) will default to include extra time.

This does not apply to half markets or other markets with specific time periods.

Only specific FanDuel markets will cover penalties if the match remains tied after extra time, such as To Qualify for the Next Round.

Regulation Time

As noted above, regulation time is 90 minutes +stoppage time.

Regulation time consists of two 45-minute halves + stoppage time for each half.

Stoppage time is added when additional minutes are needed to account for injuries, substitutions, VAR checks, and stalling tactics.

Super Sub

If your player is substituted off, your bet transfers to their replacement.

Super Sub will be available for select markets every game, for the full duration of the game including extra time in the Knockout Round.

It will be automatically applied, so no action is neededon your end.

Just look for the yellow arrow icon next to the eligible bets.
