Jelani Woods

Jelani Woods

TE / Indianapolis Colts
Woods brought in two of three targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
What it means
The rookie was the surprise target on both of Matt Ryan's touchdown tosses, recording one- and 12-yard grabs in the first and fourth quarters, respectively. Woods had yet to see a target prior to Sunday, so despite the surprising fantasy performance Sunday, it's difficult to project what his role might be in Week 4 home divisional clash against the Titans.

Michael Pittman Jr.

Michael Pittman Jr.

WR / Indianapolis Colts
Pittman (quadriceps) secured eight of nine targets for 72 yards in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
What it means
Pittman put together team-leading totals in receptions, receiving yards and targets in a successful return from a one-game absence. The second-year wideout has unsurprisingly been heavily involved in the two games he's played thus far, furnishing a 17-193-1 line on 22 targets in that sample. He'll project for another hefty workload when the Colts tangle with the Titans in a Week 4 home matchup against the division-rival Titans.

Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor

RB / Indianapolis Colts
Taylor carried 21 times for 71 yards and brought in three of five targets for 20 yards in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
What it means
Taylor was frequently stymied by a tough Chiefs front, with his longest run of the day going for a modest 13 yards. Taylor's involvement in the passing game was a nice bonus, however, and the star back now has 13 targets through three games. The 2020 second-round pick now has two straight sub-100-yard games, but he looks as explosive as last season and draws a very favorable statistical matchup against the Titans' suspect run defense in a Week 4 home divisional clash.

Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan

QB / Indianapolis Colts
Ryan completed 27 of 37 passes for 222 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday. He also rushed three times for four yards and committed two fumbles, losing one.
What it means
Ryan finished with solid numbers overall while leading the Colts to their first win of the season, but he continued to display an alarming penchant for turnovers when taking hits. Ryan has now fumbled seven times through three games, making him fortunate to have only lost two. Ryan did show some encouraging chemistry with rookie tight end Jelani Woods, who he hit for both touchdowns, and clearly benefited from the returns of Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce, who he hit for 11 of his completions and 133 receiving yards on 14 targets. Ryan will aim for better ball security and continued target diversification in a Week 4 home divisional clash against the Titans.

Julian Blackmon

Julian Blackmon

S / Indianapolis Colts
Blackmon (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Chiefs, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
What it means
Blackmon departed during the first half of Sunday's contest against Kansas City with an ankle injury, and he'll now be sidelined for the remainder of the day. Rodney Thomas should continue filling in for the 187-pounder until he's cleared to play. Blackmon's next opportunity to take the field comes next Sunday against the Titans.

Stephon Gilmore

Stephon Gilmore

CB / Indianapolis Colts
Gilmore (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports
What it means
Gilmore was seen running to the Colts' locker room after exiting with a hamstring issue in the first half against Kansas City, James Palmer of NFL Network reports. In the 32-year-old's absence Brandon Facyson and Isaiah Rodgers will need to step up against the Chiefs' potent passing attack.
