Baltimore Ravens 2022-23 Fantasy Outlook

At 8-9, the Baltimore Ravens finished last in the AFC North last year and failed to reach the postseason. Now, star quarterback Lamar Jackson is set to begin the final year of his rookie contract, which will raise a lot of questions regarding the franchise’s future. But with Jackson back under center and offensive coordinator Greg Roman back calling the shots, fans will have high hopes for the Ravens this season.

Jackson rushed for nearly 800 yards last season, but his shaky passing led to him scoring just the 16th-most Fantasy points of any quarterback. Fortunately for him, running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards–both of whom missed the entire 2021-22 season due to knee injuries–are set to return to Baltimore’s backfield. Tight end Mark Andrews, who exploded onto the DFS scene last year, will also line up alongside Jackson again this year. Andrews led all tight ends in Fantasy points last season, reeling in 107 catches and 9 TDs. Kicker Justin Tucker set a new field-goal distance record in 2021, and can be found among the priciest of Daily Fantasy PK draft options on any NFL weekend.

Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Defense

Due to a litany of injuries, the Ravens’ usually dominant defense scored the 26th-most defensive Fantasy points in the NFL last year. The team recovered just 6 fumbles, tied for the 3rd-lowest mark in the league. To make matters worse, rookie David Ojabo tore his Achilles at Michigan’s Pro Day in March, so he may not play this season. It’s not all doom and gloom for this unit, though. Baltimore re-signed veteran pass rusher Justin Houston, who’ll be joined by talented sophomore OLB Odafe Oweh. The team also re-signed 6-time Pro Bowler Calais Campbell. Finally, the Ravens invested in their secondary by drafting Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton and signing safety Marcus Williams to a 5-year deal.
