Doubs was targeted 67 times and caught 42 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns over 13 appearances during the 2022 season.
What it means:
Doubs may not have stood out in his rookie season, but he still finished fourth on his team in targets, receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns -- not bad for a fourth-rounder who missed four games and most of another due to injury. It's not yet known what Green Bay's receiver room will look like in 2023, but Doubs will have a chance to carve out a bigger role, and at the least he will be a useful complement to fellow sophomore Christian Watson.
Doubs was targeted four times and caught three passes for 20 yards in Sunday's 41-17 victory over the Vikings.
What it means:
Doubs finished third among Packers wideouts in snaps, but in a game in which Green Bay had all its receivers available and in which they ran it more than they threw, his output was modest for the third time in three appearances since returning from a four-game absence. He has carved out a role in the Packers' offense, but it will primarily be a complementary one provided the rest of the pass catchers on the roster remain active.
Doubs caught three of six targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Dolphins.
What it means:
The rookie saw similar volume to what he did last week in his return from an ankle injury, finishing behind Christian Watson and Allen Lazard in catches and targets. Watson left at halftime with a hip injury, however, and if he's sidelined in Week 17, Doubs could see his role grow against a Vikings secondary that's been vulnerable almost all year.
Doubs (ankle) caught all five of his targets for 55 yards in Monday's 24-12 win over the Rams.
What it means:
Doubs returned from an ankle injury that cost him four weeks of action, promptly reclaiming a prominent role on offense while leading his team in receiving yards. Head coach Matt LaFleur hinted that the fourth-round pick would be eased back into action Monday with the Packers returning to full strength at the receiver position, but that plan was clearly thrown out the window once the game commenced. Christian Watson -- who emerged as Green Bay's No. 1 wideout in Doubs absence -- still led the team in targets and is the preferred fantasy option moving forward. That said, Doubs could be a sneaky play against the Dolphins on Sunday following his successful return to action.
Romeo Doubs (ankle) not listed on Green Bay's Week 15 injury report
What it means:
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubts (ankle) is available for Week 15's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
After three full practices, Doubs is expected to return from his four game absence with a high ankle sprain. In a matchup versus a Rams' defense ranked 23rd (29.0) in FanDuel points allowed per game to wideouts, our models project Doubs to score 5.2 FanDuel points.
Doubs' projection includes 2.6 receptions for 27.6 yards on 4.1 targets.
Coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Doubs has looked good in practice but won't have "too much on his plate" Monday against the Rams, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
What it means:
Doubs played 82 percent or more of snaps in six straight games Weeks 3-8, averaging 4.0 catches for 38.7 yards and 0.5 TDs on 6.8 targets. He'll return to a lesser role after missing more than month with a high-ankle sprain, as his absence coincided with Christian Watson's emergence and Randall Cobb's return from injured reserve. With Allen Lazard also healthy, Doubs might just be the No. 4 receiver Monday night, or perhaps the No. 3 if Green Bay is ok with not having a slot specialist and pushing Cobb out of his normal role.
