Mac Jones Status

rotoWire
Jones completed 26 of 40 passes for 243 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Bills. He added five yards on four rushing attempts.

What it means:

Jones tossed a pair of game-tying two-yard touchdowns in the first half, finding Jakobi Meyers in the first quarter and DeVante Parker in the second. He was intercepted at Buffalo's two-yard line in the third quarter, then found Parker for a 26-yard touchdown in the fourth before throwing away the Patriots' playoff hopes with interceptions on each of New England's final two drives. New England's Jones-led passing game held back an otherwise talented roster in his second season, but the 2021 first-round pick remains the front-runner for the team's starting quarterback job in 2023. Across 14 starts, Jones posted a 14:11 TD:INT while falling three passing yards shy of 3,000.
rotoWire
Jones completed 20 of 33 passes for 203 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Patriots' 23-21 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed three times for one yard.

What it means:

Jones was able to put together a clean performance to help the Patriots even their record at 8-8 and remain in contention for a postseason spot. Forced to operate without both DeVante Parker (concussion) and Jonnu Smith (concussion), Jones spread the ball around to six targets overall, with 11 of his 20 completions going to Hunter Henry and Jakobi Meyers. The second-year signal-caller hit Tyquan Thornton (seven yards) and Meyers (one yard) for his two touchdowns, the second capping off a clutch 11-play, 89-yard march that took over five minutes off the clock in the fourth quarter and extended a thin 16-14 lead at the time. Jones heads into a critical Week 18 road matchup against the Bills with back-to-back two-touchdown-pass tallies for the first time all season.
rotoWire
Jones completed 21 of 33 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and netted minus-1 yard on one rush attempt in the Patriots' 22-18 loss to the Bengals on Saturday.

What it means:

Jones put together much better numbers than during his forgettable Week 15 performance against the Raiders, although ultimately, the end result was another loss for New England. The second-year signal-caller found his most success when targeting Kendrick Bourne, although he continued to display strong chemistry with Jakobi Meyers as well. Jones will look to improve on Saturday's solid numbers in a favorable Week 17 home matchup against the Dolphins on Sunday, Jan. 1.
rotoWire
Jones completed 13 of 31 passes for 112 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Raiders.

What it means:

He added 10 yards on four carries. Jones simply couldn't get anything going through the air against a suspect Las Vegas secondary, setting a season low in passing yards for a full game, but New England's running game and defense kept the team in the contest until a shocking final play that resulted in a game-winning defensive score for former Patriot Chandler Jones. Jones the quarterback has failed to reach 200 yards in four of the last seven games, making him a very risky fantasy option in Week 16 against a Bengals defense that just forced Tom Brady to commit five turnovers.
rotoWire
Jones completed 24 of 35 passes for 235 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Patriots' 27-13 win over the Cardinals on Monday night. He also netted minus-1 yards on five rush attempts and fumbled once but recovered.

What it means:

Jones put together solid numbers overall, but his night was a disappointment from a fantasy perspective given that he had no hand in any of his team's touchdowns. The second-year signal-caller's one interception came at New England's 41-yard and set up a Cardinals field goal, but Jones otherwise stayed out of his team's way while the running game and defense shouldered a heavy load against an Arizona squad that lost Kyler Murray to a likely serious knee injury on the third offensive play. Jones next takes aim at a vulnerable Raiders secondary in a Week 15 road matchup.
rotoWire
Jones completed 22 of 36 passes for 195 yards with one touchdown and no interception in the Patriots' 24-10 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He also rushed three times for seven yards and committed a fumble that was recovered by New England.

What it means:

Jones fell short of the 200-yard mark for the third time in the last five games on a night that was critical to the Patriots' playoff hopes. The second-year signal-caller did extend his interception-less streak to four contests, but after some modest early success. New England failed to garner any points on six consecutive possessions until a 17-play, 57-yard march in the fourth quarter after the Pats were already down 17 points. What's more, that march ended in a meaningless field goal when Jones threw three incompletions and took a sack on the last four plays after getting down to the Bills' 15-yard line. Jones' play and that of the entire offense will undoubtedly be the subject of plenty of scrutiny going into a Week 14 road interconference clash against the Cardinals on Monday night, Dec. 12.
