Keenan Allen Status

Bears acquire Keenan Allen from Chargers for 4th-round pick
What it means
The Chicago Bears acquired wide receiver Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers for a fourth-round pick, per Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. Allen had 108 catches on 150 targets for 1,243 yards and 7 touchdowns last season for the Chargers, despite missing multiple games due to injury. He will likely be the No. 2 receiver in Chicago behind D.J. Moore, but Allen is a solid upgrade for the offense as a whole. Quentin Johnston and Josh Palmer are currently the top receivers for Justin Herbert in Los Angeles. Allen averaged 17.3 FanDuel points across 13 games last season. Among the 35 receivers with at least 100 targets, Allen ranked 16th in Reception Net Expected Points per target. Moore finished 4th in that same group.

Chargers' Keenan Allen (heel) out again for Week 18
What it means
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out of Week 18's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Allen continues to deal with a heel injury that has sidelined him since Week 15. He will miss the Chargers' regular-season finale against the Chiefs. Josh Palmer (concussion) has cleared protocols and will play. Allen will finish his season with 108 receptions on 150 targets for 1,243 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Chargers' Keenan Allen (heel) logs second DNP ahead of Week 18
What it means
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) did not participate in Thursday's practice ahead of the team's Week 18 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Allen is trending towards missing the Chargers' final game of the season. The Chargers star has missed the team's last three games, but had already reached the second-highest yardage total (1,243) in the 13 games he did play this season. Allen was averaging an absurd 95.6 receiving yards per game this season prior to his injury and has been sorely missed by the Chargers down the stretch. If Josh Palmer (concussion) can go Sunday, expect him to lead the way in Allen's absence.
