The Philadelphia Eagles activated running back Jordan Howard (stinger) from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Howard missed Week 18 due to a stinger and COVID protocols. The Eagles also activated Boston Scott from the COVID list on Monday and Miles Sanders is expected to return from a hand injury this week, so head coach Nick Sirianni said the team expects to have their full backfield available for the Wild Card Round versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Howard will likely work behind Miles Sanders as the Eagles' primary change-of-pace back. Scott and Kenneth Gainwell will not be as involved with Howard and Sanders both active. numberFire's models project Howard for only 3.6 touches in the Wild Card Round. The Buccaneers finished the regular season with the No. 10 run defense in numberFire's adjusted team rankings. Among the 77 running backs with at least 50 carries this season, Howard ranked 32nd in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
