How FanDuel Helped Donate One Million Meals in North Carolina to Support Hunger Relief

FanDuel is donating to help fight hunger across North Carolina—enough to provide one million meals statewide.

This includes a contribution to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, the state’s largest hunger relief organization; and to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which serves the entire Charlotte region and parts of South Carolina.

“We are grateful for the support from FanDuel with this generous donation that is going to enable us to make a real difference in the lives of so many of our neighbors throughout the Charlotte region,” said Kay Carter, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. “Having partners like FanDuel who share a commitment to giving back allows us to reach even more families in need and strengthen the community we all call home.”

FanDuel TV’s Kay Adams presented the checks to both organizations during a visit to Panthers training camp, where she filmed an episode of "Up & Adams."

Amy Beros, President & CEO of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, noted that the contribution couldn’t come at a more important time for our communities.

“The stakes have never been higher—and we hope FanDuel’s incredible investment will inspire fans throughout the region to get involved in the fight to end hunger,” Beros said.

More than 1.6 million North Carolinians face food insecurity—an increase of 380,000 people since the COVID-19 pandemic peak in 2021. Data shows that the food crisis is growing in North Carolina and South Carolina.
