Through our ambassador program and advocacy efforts, we work to normalize responsible play, reduce the stigma around problem gambling, and provide resources to help people start important conversations about getting help.

FanDuel takes Responsible Gaming (RG)—and employee education—seriously. Every employee completes RG training when they join and refreshes their education yearly to stay up to date on safe play and spotting signs of problem gambling.
We also host Play Well Day, an annual company-wide event focused on RG education through panels, discussions with leaders, and hands-on activities that bring employees together across all roles. Throughout the year, employees hear real stories through lived-experience sessions that reinforce awareness, accountability, and our shared commitment to keeping play safe and responsible.
Launched in 2021, the FanDuel Responsible Gaming Ambassador Program partners with external advocates to promote safe, responsible play. These ambassadors raise awareness about problem gambling and encourage positive habits, like using tools such as My Spend and setting deposit, wager, and time limits.
As FanDuel’s first RG Ambassador, Craig Carton draws on his own experiences with problem gambling to raise awareness and help others play safely and responsibly. Through initiatives like the Craig Carton RG College Tour, he shares his story and promotes education around the risks of gambling.
Randy and Anita are the first husband-and-wife RG ambassadors. By sharing their personal experiences with problem gambling, they aim to support and inspire others facing similar challenges.
Former Executive Director of the NCPG, Keith brings over 30 years of experience in the responsible gambling and problem gambling prevention space to FanDuel as a strategic advisor on the RG program. His subject matter knowledge and experience help identify opportunities to expand and enhance FanDuel’s advocacy work and communicate resources across users and the industry.
In partnership with EPIC Global Solutions and RG Ambassadors former NBA player Randy Livingston and his wife and basketball agent Anita Ondine Smith, FanDuel created “Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting,” a parent-focused resource hub.
The Trusted Voices program is designed to equip trusted adults, including parents and coaches, with tools and resources to talk to young people about gambling, associated risks, how to recognize warning signs, and where to go for support.
The site contains video resources around critical topics including identifying warning signs of a problematic relationship with gambling, what coaches should know, and information on proxy betting. It also has multiple PDF toolkits to provide background on the world of gambling and associated risks, and guidance for how to start the conversation with young people.
"The Comeback with Craig Carton" is a first-of-its-kind video series about problem gambling recovery. Craig, a national sports media personality, struggled with disordered gambling behind the scenes. After he served time in prison, he became a FanDuel RG Ambassador in 2021.
Guests share their stories through candid conversations. The series raises awareness, reduces stigma, and encourages open dialogue around responsible play. It reminds fans of the importance of balance, support, and informed choices.
