FanDuel Debuts Community Feed Across All Sports—Just in Time for World Cup

The 2026 World Cup is projected to be the biggest sports betting event in history. FanDuel is preparing accordingly.

With more games in U.S.-friendly time zones, 48 teams instead of 32, and seven new states with access to FanDuel Sportsbook compared to the 2022 tournament, millions more Americans will be watching and wagering together.

To meet the moment, FanDuel is introducing the FanDuel Community Feed, a live social hub where customers can discover bets, share their picks, and engage with other bettors—all without leaving the Sportsbook app.

“Betting is an inherently social experience,” said Jon Sadow, Sportsbook Product Vice President at FanDuel. “It’s an activity people do with their friends and their communities. We want social context and content to live throughout the bet discovery and the navigation of the app.”

How the FanDuel Community Feed Works

The Community Feed creates a real-time stream of bets placed by other FanDuel customers. Users can scroll through the feed, filter by sport or event, and see what's resonating with the broader betting community.

Each shared bet can include badges to provide context such as "Gut Feel," "Stats Driven," "Rooting Interest," or "Long Shot," giving users insight into why someone made a particular wager.

If a user sees a bet they like, they can add it directly to their betslip with a single tap. No need to manually recreate the selection.

"People are using the Community Feed as a window-shopping opportunity, which we think is great," Sadow said. "It doesn't necessarily need to be tailing. It can also be a curiosity, research tool."

Sadow explained FanDuel internal research shows that, rather than relying solely on expert analysis or traditional media, many customers now look to peers and online communities for betting inspiration.

"Social discovery is a huge part of how people engage with sports betting today,” said Sadow. “This just brings that experience into a trusted, regulated environment."

Why Soccer Is the Perfect Use Case

While the Community Feed is available across many sports, FanDuel sees the World Cup as an especially strong fit for the feature.

Tournament soccer naturally brings people together—whether it's watching as a group, texting with friends, or following along on social media. The Community Feed aims to replicate that sense of community within the FanDuel Sportsbook app.

FanDuel also sees the Community Feed as a way to help bettors who may be less familiar with soccer, or betting in general, to build confidence in their wagers, especially during tournament play.

There is a designated World Cup tab available within the feed for those looking to learn more.

"For a lot of casual fans, soccer can feel overwhelming," Sadow said. "There are so many markets and less familiar players. Not everyone has the same level of knowledge. The feed helps make soccer feel more approachable by showing what real people are betting and why."

Creating Community

For FanDuel, the Community Feed is a part of a broader vision:

"This summer is a massive opportunity, but we're building for the long-term. We don’t feel like any Sportsbook has gotten this right yet." Sadow said. "We want FanDuel to be the place where people come not just to place a bet, but to be part of a community."

With so many new users entering the market, and soccer poised to take center stage, FanDuel is betting that the social experience will be just as important as the odds.
