Since the middle of May, it's been the Shohei Ohtani show in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Angels two-way phenom has captivated the baseball world throughout the 2021 season and has been the sole show in town with Mike Trout on the 60-day injured list.
Trout headed to the 60-day IL with a strained right calf on May 17 and hasn't seen the field since. Fortunately for Angels fans, a bit of good news recently came out regarding Trout's injury update.
Mike Trout Injury Update
During a pregame workout before Tuesday's contest with the Oakland Athletics, the three-time AL MVP was seen working out running the bases. While the superstar center fielder wasn't working out at full intensity, this is still a huge positive sign in Los Angeles.
No timetable has been released for Trout's potential return, but this is a small step in the right direction. The Angels sit in fourth place in the AL West, trailing the division lead by 10.0 games with their 46-47 record. Los Angeles owns just +4500 odds to win the division on FanDuel Sportsbook.
