Don't let a player exiting the game end your bet. Pinch Hit Protection keeps your bets in play by extending the bet to the replacement player.
How It Works
Place an eligible bet
Bet on any eligible, pre-live MLB player prop market. Eligible markets include 1+ Hits and 1+ Home Runs on straight bets, parlays, and Same Game Parlays.
Batter exits the game?
If your player is removed from the game before completing a full complement of at-bats, Pinch Hit Protection may apply.
Your bet stays alive
If the replacement player records the Hit or Home Run needed to complete your market, we'll treat that stat as if it belonged to your original player.
For example, you bet on Aaron Judge to record 1+ Hit. Judge is substituted out of the game before completing a full complement of at-bats and is replaced by Trent Grisham. If Trent Grisham records a Hit and your bet otherwise qualifies, your wager will be settled as a winner and paid out in Bonus Bets.
Ineligible Bets:
- Parlays or SGPs with non-MLB markets
- Bets placed with tokens, bonus bets, site credit, or other promotional funds
- Wagers in multiple sport parlays
- Round Robin wagers
- Futures, Player Specials, "And/Or" markets
- Wagers on non-eligible games or markets
- Do I need to opt-in to Pinch Hitter Protection?
- No, Pinch Hit Protection is automatically applied to any eligible bet. No additional action is needed from you.
- Do the odds remain the same or do they change with the replacement player?
- The odds and your potential winnings remain the same as your original bet. Nothing changes except which player needs to achieve the stat.
- What markets are eligible?
- Pre-live "Player to Hit a Home Run" and "Player to Record a Hit" markets are covered with Pinch Hit Protection.
- Does it cover parlays?
- Yes! MLB-only parlays, SGPs, and SGPPs are eligible. Only one leg needs to be an eligible Pinch Hit market (Player to Hit a Home Run or Player to Record a Hit) to qualify. If your eligible leg is the only losing leg in your parlay, you'll receive Bonus Bets.
- My bet was covered by Pinch Hit Protection. Why is it settled as a loss?
- If the Pinch Hitter achieves the required stat, your original bet will settle as a loss — but you'll receive Bonus Bets equal to your stake plus the potential winnings.
