Head-to-Head Limits

Have more variety in your opponents

We want to make it easier to find a wide selection of opponents as you scroll through available H2Hs. And if you create your own set of H2H contests, we want to give you more opportunity to play against different challengers, rather than have a single user join all your open H2Hs contests.

That’s why we now limit how many public Head-to-Head (H2H) contests any one user can play, in addition to the global contest limits that apply across FanDuel. These new limits apply in two ways: 1) how many contests a user can play at a certain entry fee amount, and 2) how many H2Hs a user can play in any given slate of games.

Global contest limits

Users are limited to playing up to 5,000 contests per slate. For contests with entry fees of $10 or less, these the limits get tighter:

  • 500 total NFL contests per slate
  • 250 total NBA contests per slate
  • 250 total MLB contests per slate
  • 250 total NHL contests per slate

Public Head-to-Head limits: by entry fee & game slate

Limits apply to both the H2H contests you create and the contests you enter. For example, if you create 50 new $1 NFL H2Hs and enter 50 $1 NFL H2Hs that already exist, you’ve hit your 100-entry limit for NFL H2Hs at the $1 entry level. Take a quick look below at the limits by entry fee and how they vary by sport. These sport-by-sport limits also apply for any individual game slate. Here’s the full breakdown:
