Training Guide

You’re the star quarterback on the FanDuel Football Team. Make strategic passes to your receivers to gain yards, advance down the field, and score touchdowns. Lace up and prove your passing proficiency to outscore your opponent!

how to play

Overview
The goal of the game is to advance downfield and score touchdowns. The more passes you make to your receivers, the more yardage you earn. Avoid interceptions, perfect your timing, and advance to the end zone to score touchdowns. Quarterback Attack is split into four quarters, each lasting 20 seconds. Time runs during the snap count and the play.

Offense
At the beginning of each play, you’ll see the routes for each of your receivers. Act quickly to pass to all of your receivers if you can. At the end of each play, you’ll advance down the field to the spot of your furthest completion.

You can make two types of passes:

Lob pass
Tap the screen to lob the ball to the location you tapped. If you time your tap accurately, your receiver will catch the ball as they run down their route. The ball will sail over the defense, but it’ll be intercepted if it

Bullet pass
Tap and hold the screen where you want the ball to go, then slide your finger back toward the quarterback and release to throw. Bullet passes are faster and score double points, but the defense can intercept the ball on its way to your target.

You’re only allowed six incompletions each quarter, so time your passes well. You’ll receive a 50-point penalty for each incompletion.

Yardage
The further down the field your receiver is when they catch the ball, the more yardage you’ll earn.

Accuracy matters. You’ll score a perfect pass by timing your throw to land directly in your receiver’s hands. A receiver who makes a perfect catch will run up the field an additional seven and a half yards. On a non-perfect catch, yardage is determined by the position of the ball, so you can throw in front of your receivers for an extra couple of yards.

When you reach the Redzone (opposing 20-yard line) you’ll no longer advance down the field. Your field position will reset to your own 10-yard line at the beginning of the second half.

Defense
When the defense intercepts a pass, it will count against the number of allowed incompletions per quarter.

The defense will intercept lob passes that land directly on them, or bullet passes that travel through them.

Hype Meter
Each completed pass will add to the Hype Meter. Compile multiple passes in a row to fill the meter faster!

When the Hype Meter is full, a SuperFan will run across the field. Hit him with a pass to earn bonus points!
You can earn multiple SuperFans per game, but each one will require more passes to earn than the last.

Game end
The game ends when all four quarters are over.

Quarters end when:

• Time runs out and the current play has ended

• You throw six incompletions in a quarter

scoring

Points are earned for the following:

Completing passes
• A lob pass is worth 10 points per yard (measured to the nearest half-yard)
• A bullet pass is worth 20 points per yard (measured to the nearest half-yard)
• Incompletions and interceptions will deduct 50 points each from your score

Perfect passes
• Throwing a perfect pass will let the receiver run an additional 7.5 yards down the field, earning an additional 75 points for a lob pass or 150 points for a bullet pass

Hitting the SuperFan
• Hitting the SuperFan is worth 2,000 points for a lob pass and 4,000 points for a bullet pass

Scoring touchdowns
• Touchdowns are worth 500 points each

tips

1. Complete a pass to the farthest receiver to maximize yardage. A receiver can still catch the ball as they’re fading out.

2. You can throw multiple times per play. Try to complete a pass to each receiver!

3. You earn double points for bullet passes. Try completing multiple per play!

4. Pass yardage is determined by the position of the ball, so leading a receiver will earn you more points.

5. Perfect passes will make the receiver run an extra 7.5 yards, earning 75 points for a lob pass or 150 points for a bullet pass.

6. If you throw a perfect pass, the extra yardage can score you a touchdown on some routes that don't reach the end zone.

7. Try prioritizing the shortest routes first to complete a pass to each receiver. The lighter the color of the route, the shorter it is.

8. Manage the clock! You may want to pass to all receivers quickly to get an additional play.

9. If you fill your Hype Meter, a SuperFan will run across the field.  Hit him with a bullet pass to earn bonus points!

10. Avoid incompletions! If you maintain a passing streak, you’ll fill the Hype Meter more quickly.
