PIECE MOVEMENT

Pieces move just like
traditional chess pieces

Rooks

Rooks can move either up, down, left or right.

Bishops

Bishops can move diagonally in any direction.

Knights

Knights can either move
up/down 1 square
and left/right 2 squares

OR

up/down 2 squares
and left/right 1 square.

Think of the movement like an
L Shape!

Queen

Queens can move in any direction - up, down, left, right, or diagonal.

King

The King can also move in any direction. Unlike traditional chess, the King can move 2 squares in one turn.

How to Play

The goal of the game is to move the King to the throne as fast as you can.
The King can only move along the King's Path.

Move the other pieces out of the King's Path!

You can move the King 2 spaces in one turn for a Double Move bonus.

Note: you may need to move multiple pieces to help clear the Path.

Move the King to the Throne as fast as possible in the least amount of moves to maximize your score!

Receive an additional 50 Points for completing a Double Move.

Moves Remaining Bonus

At the end of the round, receive an extra 50 Points for every move that wasn't used.

Time Remaining Bonus

At the end of the round, receive an extra 10 Points for every second left on the clock.

Undo Button

Hitting undo will temporarily remove any points from the previous move.

Note: you will not lose any points for undoing a move for any piece besides the King.

Pro Tips

Move Bishops out of the corners if the King's Path crosses through them to avoid having to backtrack.

You may need to move multiple pieces to clear the path for a Double Move.

Find the perfect balance between speed and strategy. Less moves + less time = more Points.

A Chess board is filled with randomized Chess pieces - Rooks, Bishops, Knights & Queens. The goal of the game is to move the King to the Throne in as few moves as possible. The King can only move along the highlighted path. Clear the way for the King by moving other pieces off of the Path.
