FanDuel Teams Up with Atlanta Hawks to Support Food Security
Sometimes the best assist happens off the court. FanDuel teamed up with the Atlanta Hawks to surprise two local organizations with a donation to support food security efforts across the city.
FanDuel team members toured the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA and the APS Student & Family Support Hub to see firsthand the impact these groups have on Atlanta communities. They were joined by Atlanta Hawks alum Kevin Willis.
During the visits, both organizations were surprised with a combined donation of $25,000.
“As I walk around, I can see all the great work that the YMCA and APS do for the Atlanta community. It’s wonderful to know FanDuel is supporting these organizations,” said Keita Young, Vice President of Advocacy and Public Policy at FanDuel.
The day didn't stop at check presentations. FanDuel volunteers rolled up their sleeves for the 2026 Day of Service at the APS Student & Family Support Hub. The team packaged and distributed food to assist the Atlanta Community Food Bank and connected directly with families.
About the Organizations
The Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA has been a cornerstone of the Atlanta community for over 60 years, providing food access alongside youth development and community programming.
“Sometimes we really have to convince people, and for [FanDuel and the Hawks] to just do this out of the kindness of your hearts...We feel seen—just as we see our community,” said Monteil Weeks, Group Vice President of Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA.
The APS Student & Family Support Hub is a connection point for hundreds of families experiencing economic hardship and limited access to healthy, affordable food. Its work plays a critical role in empowering the next generation of learners and leaders in Atlanta.
"We can be no bigger than what the partners bring us and with you all, we are going to make this be a force multiplier," said Carl Hill, Executive Director of External Affairs at APS. "We are very happy to accept."
Part of a Bigger Picture
This donation is just one piece of FanDuel's larger commitment to fighting food insecurity. FanDuel supplied over one million meals to local food banks in 2025 and is continuing those efforts into 2026.
