FanDuel and Kindbridge: A Partnership Built Around Better Player Support

Responsible gaming is about more than the tools available on a platform—it's about giving customers the knowledge to make informed decisions. And for the small percentage of customers who need additional support, it's about making sure resources are readily available.
That belief is at the core of FanDuel's partnership with Kindbridge Behavioral Health. Since March 2024, the two organizations have worked together to expand access to education, self-assessment resources, and professional support when needed.
“FanDuel is continually investing in education, research, partnerships, because we believe in meeting our customers where they are and providing resources that work for them,” said Cory Fox, Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability at FanDuel.
A Shared Commitment to Prevention
Kindbridge is an online mental health provider specializing in problem gambling, digital dependency, and other mental health concerns. While treatment is an important part of its work, the organization also emphasizes prevention and early intervention.
“We understand mental health and gambling can be closely connected, particularly among young men, so expanding access to behavioral health resources was a priority,” said Fox. “Kindbridge stood out for its focus on gambling disorder and its commitment to making treatment more accessible.”
For Daniel Umfleet, founder and CEO of Kindbridge, the partnership makes sense because the organizations share the same objective.
"We both want to help people maintain a healthy balance," said Umfleet. "That includes understanding finances, recognizing spending patterns, and making sure people aren't gambling with money they don't have."

More Ways to Stay Informed
The partnership has continued to grow by creating more opportunities for customers to engage with RG resources.
In March 2026, more than 6,000 FanDuel customers completed a voluntary Kindbridge survey designed to help them better understand their relationship with gambling and its connection to mental health.
“By encouraging customers to take a step back and consider their play, we aim to normalize proactive thinking regarding responsible gaming and problem gambling," said Fox.
FanDuel also offers a complimentary mental health assessment to customers at the point of self-exclusion. Through Kindbridge, customers can access educational courses, peer support groups, coaching, and counseling with a licensed therapist.
Beyond the Platform
The partnership extends beyond customer support. FanDuel and Kindbridge have also collaborated on employee education, financial wellness initiatives, and other community-focused efforts.
"FanDuel doesn't limit themselves to what's happening directly on the platform," said Umfleet. "They lean into broader, community-oriented conversations. That's a differentiator."
Both organizations believe collaboration between gaming operators and behavioral health experts will play an increasingly important role in expanding education and improving access to support.
"When a company is as proactive as FanDuel, it sends an important message to regulators and legislators," said Umfleet. "Together, we’re continuously raising the bar.”
