In Conversation with Erin Andrews: FanDuel’s New Responsible Gaming Ambassador

Erin Andrews knows what it means to be part of the game. She’s spent her career as a sports broadcaster—on sidelines and under stadium lights. She’s seen firsthand how deeply fans connect to the action on the field.

Now, Andrews is bringing her expertise and signature voice to FanDuel as a Responsible Gaming (RG) Ambassador to help fans play with a plan.

We sat down with Andrews to discuss why she decided to become an ambassador and what she wants fans to keep in mind when betting.

What drew you to become a Responsible Gaming Ambassador?

Sports are, and always have been, such a huge part of my life. I was impressed that FanDuel speaks openly about Responsible Gaming and emphasizes that gaming tools should be a part of your winning strategy.

And of course, FanDuel gives people all the tools and awareness to enjoy sports betting safely from the start. That balance between enjoyment and responsibility in sports betting is something I genuinely believe in. It made me want to be part of the conversation.

Why does Responsible Gaming matter to you personally?

Well, I've seen first-hand how sports betting can become such a huge part of the fan experience. But it’s so important for people to be responsible when gaming to ensure that this space remains safe for others.

Gaming should always be for entertainment, and I want to continue promoting that message in the years to come.

Was there anything you were surprised to learn about FanDuel?

Totally. As someone who’s worked in sports for over two decades and has seen how sports entertainment has evolved, FanDuel’s level of transparency stood out to me.

FanDuel really sets the standard for being a trustworthy operator, being proactive about RG, and going above and beyond doing what’s right.

I was especially impressed by the Real-Time Check-In feature. It uses deposit data to predict what a customer might deposit on a given day. If a new deposit looks inconsistent with their usual spending, the feature flags it for them. From there, it suggests lowering their deposit, setting limits, or taking a closer look at their spending through My Spend.
