Behind the Scenes of Up & Adams’ NFL Training Camp Tour

It was the middle of the night when the Up & Adams crew finally arrived in North Carolina. Severe weather delayed every flight from Washington to Charlotte, upending their travel plans during the 2025 NFL training camp.
Host Kay Adams and crew members had to drive nearly seven hours overnight in a sprinter van to keep the show on schedule. By 7am that morning, they were at the Panthers' training facility to get cameras rolling.
That whirlwind overnight journey never made it on screen. But it's a perfect example of what it takes to bring FanDuel TV's Up & Adams NFL Training Camp Tour to life.
Now entering its fourth year, the tour has become one of FanDuel TV's signature productions, bringing fans inside with behind-the-scenes access to the players, coaches, and storylines that shape the season ahead.
"It's the biggest time of year for Up & Adams," said Richard Isakow, Senior Director of Sports Programming at FanDuel. "It really sets the tone for the NFL season."
Schedule Mastery
FanDuel TV's production timeline comes together in just a matter of weeks, as NFL teams finalize their training camp schedules in the early summer.
Once those schedules are set, the team works to build an itinerary that balances interviews, travel, and production logistics across more than a dozen stops.
Even with careful planning, weather delays, shifting practices, and last-minute interview changes often force the team to adjust on the fly—sometimes leading to overnight drives and airport sprints.
The 2025 tour was the biggest yet, with the crew visiting 20 NFL training camps over 26 days and conducting 74 interviews.

This year's tour, happening now, is already creating a few milestones of its own, including first-ever visits to the Cowboys' and Ravens' training camps still to come.
"The constant feedback we get is the teams love doing the show and are excited to make it work," Isakow said. “For us, it's fitting together all the puzzle pieces when teams can only do certain days or schedules overlap.”
Production Built for Surprises
The production team, led by producer Cal Filson and coordinator Kat Rogerson, typically arrives at each facility about two hours before the first interview to set up and watch practice.
Throughout the day, behind-the-scenes content is captured while Kay conducts interviews and the FanDuel TV social team, led by Torin Westfall and Jason McCullough, upload to social handles and YouTube.

Once filming wraps, editors Leandro Moric, Hayden Ross, and Michea Bryant quickly transform the footage into polished episodes before the day ends.
Throughout it all, the crew travels intentionally light.
"We try to keep our footprint as small as possible, knowing we're guests at these facilities," said Isakow.
Setting the Tone for NFL Season
The show keeps things relaxed and playful, leaving plenty of room for spontaneous moments. Between football conversations, it leans into players' personalities with unscripted games and lighthearted challenges.

Matt Hamilton leads editorial, shaping each show and helping Kay prepare in the incredibly short turnaround between camps.
One segment might feature Jim Harbaugh offering relationship advice to Justin Herbert after his engagement, while another has Rome Odunze blind-ranking famous bears—from Fozzie Bear to Winnie the Pooh.
Those moments sit alongside conversations about position battles and season expectations, giving fans a fuller picture of the personalities behind some of the biggest names in football.
By the end of this year’s tour, the crew will have traveled thousands of miles, visited more than a dozen NFL training camps, and adapted to countless unexpected changes—all with one goal in mind: bringing fans closer to the game they love.
