Despite being arguably the hottest team in Major League Baseball right now, the New York Yankees still aren't favored to win the World Series. That title goes to the only team with a better record over its last 10 games – the AL West-leading Houston Astros.

With +450 odds to win the 2019 World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Astros have been the favorites for some time now.

While the Los Angeles Dodgers have made a slight improvement from +600 to +500 odds to win it all, the Yankees slipped from +600 to +700 over the past 10 days, despite an 8-2 record in their last 10 contests.

Everyone else seems to be chasing those three squads now.

How Many World Series Titles Do the Yankees Have?

And it's no wonder as the Yankees have won an MLB-best 27 World Series titles. While the Dodgers have six, the Astros have won most recently – their only World Series title, in 2017.

With the MLB season having yet to reach the dog days of summer, the World Series winner is still far from being decided.
