The Golden State Warriors (21-22) hope to overcome several injuries when they face the reeling Washington Wizards (18-25) at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, Jan. 16.

Winning hasn't been easy for the Warriors, who lost 132-118 to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, marking Golden State's fourth loss in its last five outings. Meanwhile, the Wizards have also gone 1-4 in their last five contests, most recently picking up a 112-108 loss to the New York Knicks on Friday.

Do the Warriors have what it takes to leave the nation's capital with a .500 record? Or will the Wizards find a way to add to Golden State's woes?

  • The Warriors covered 41 times in 82 matchups with a spread last season.
  • As 3-point underdogs or greater, the Wizards went 17-23-1 against the spread last season.
  • Last season, the combined scoring went over the point total 34 times in Warriors games.
  • The Wizards had 45 of their 82 games go over the point total last season.

Wizards vs. Warriors Prediction & Pick

There are already five Warriors players ruled out for tonight's game, including Klay Thompson (rest), Jonathan Kuminga (foot) and Andre Iguodala (hip). The good news for them is that the Wizards will likely be without leading scorer Bradley Beal, who has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury.

Without Beal, there isn't much of a reason to like Washington. After all, the Wizards are 4-10 in their last 14 games this season without the three-time NBA All-Star. At least the Warriors can still rely on Stephen Curry, who's averaged 32.4 points on .493/.436/.950 shooting in his last 10 games against the Wizards, finishing with at least 32 points in four of the last five meetings.

With the Wizards' offense also having disappeared lately, only averaging 107.5 points in their last four games, I expect the Warriors to get the job done in D.C.

Final Score Prediction: Warriors: 122 | Wizards: 117

Wizards vs. Warriors Best Bet

There's a good chance that this game could wind up being a high-scoring affair. On top of having the fourth-worst scoring defense in the NBA, the total has gone over in each of the Warriors' last 10 road games. Furthermore, the over is also 9-2 in their last 11 games against Eastern Conference foes.

If that isn't convincing enough, the total has also gone over in six of the Wizards' last nine home games, as well as in six of their last eight battles with the Warriors. Unless both sides suddenly discover defense, the over is the best option.

Bet: Over 236 Points (-112)
