The Chicago White Sox will look to snap a seven-game losing streak when they take on the Kansas City Royals during a three-game series this week. What was originally scheduled as a 6:10 p.m. CT start on Wednesday has now turned into a 1:10 p.m. CT start due to forecasted cold temperatures.

Forecasts around Guaranteed Rate Field are calling for temperatures in the mid-to-high 30s for most of the evening. Playing under what will hopefully be a shining sun may help players stay warm both on the field and at the plate. The team announced that the game will still be broadcast as usual.
Anyone that had tickets to attend the game will still be able to go at the newly scheduled time with gates set to open one hour prior to first pitch (12:10 p.m. CT). Of course, tickets are still available for purchase at whitesox.com or the ticket office located on the outskirts of the ballpark.
The White Sox will have Dylan Cease on the mound to go up against Zack Greinke of Kansas City. Cease is 2-1 on the season with a 3.38 ERA and has racked up 19 strikeouts in 16.0 innings pitched (3 starts). This is the first time in 2022 that these divisional rivals will battle it out head-to-head.
For now, the White Sox have the sixth-best odds to win the World Series at +1200, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. They also remain the favorite to win the American League Central at -210.
