Heading into this Week 10 battle between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, you have two completely opposite stories. The Bears were red hot to start the season, but in recent weeks their offense has stalled behind Nick Foles. The Vikes were dead and buried on the other hand, but out of nowhere, they've had two dominant wins over the division rival Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
Despite all that, the Vikings are only 2.5-point favorites this week on FanDuel Sportsbook. Even in Chicago, the recent form of these two teams makes this a disrespectful line for Minnesota.
Minnesota's success can be attributed to their running back Dalvin Cook more than anyone. The playmaker has been on a torrid streak, with 369 rush yards and 109 receiving yards in his last two weeks since returning from injury. With a ground game like that, it's hard to lose.
The Chicago defense has been tougher against the run than Green Bay and Detroit, but it's the Bears' offense that's been more concerning. The team won more games with Mitchell Trubisky, but the offense has been terrible with both quarterbacks at the helm.
Chicago has now lost three straight, and with the momentum flipping for both these franchises, it's important to focus on the trends rather than the overall record. Minnesota believes they can run the table here, and the Bears have done nothing to prove that they can stand in their way.
