It hasn't taken JuJu Smith-Schuster much time at all to become a Kansas City Chiefs fan favorite. After making an insane diving catch at Wednesday's practice, the talented wideout has found a way to one-up himself on Thursday.
Covered by rookie cornerback Joshua Williams, Smith-Schuster managed to make an impressive over-the-shoulder touchdown catch, placed perfectly by Patrick Mahomes. The 25-year-old pass-catcher received a round of applause from onlookers.
Fortunately, the KC Sports Network uploaded a video of Smith-Schuster's highlight catch. Also, keep an eye out for Travis Kelce's celebration, showcasing that Smith-Schuster is clearly well-liked by his teammates already.
A season plagued by injuries held Smith-Schuster to only five games played last season. The result was 15 receptions for 129 yards without a touchdown, so it's clear that Andy Reid's squad hopes that Kansas City is the perfect place for Smith-Schuster to become a 1,000-yard player again.
The good news for the Long Beach, CA native is that he couldn't be in a better position to rebound. Mahomes is a top-three quarterback in the NFL and with Tyreek Hill gone, Smith-Schuster could thrive if he cements himself with the No. 1 WR job.
