Tyrod Taylor got off to a red-hot start to the 2021 NFL season. It looked like he was going to carry that over into Week 2, completing 10-of-11 attempts for 125 yards and a TD while adding 15 yards and another score on the ground.

Unfortunately, Taylor looked a little strange at the end of that run. And he appeared to aggravate his hamstring a few plays later. He has since been ruled out for the remainder of the day, which is obviously a crushing blow to anyone who started Taylor this week.

Tyrod Taylor Injury Update

Taylor had 16.5 fantasy points before going down. He likely would've been in contention for an overall QB1 finish this week had he not gotten hurt. With Taylor done, that honor will likely go to Sam Darnold, who has been carving up the New Orleans Saints this week.

But hopefully Taylor can get back on the field next week. His replacement, Davis Mills, was atrocious in the NFL preseason. The rookie just doesn't look like an NFL-ready passer yet.

If he's at the helm for any extended period of time, Texans' skill-position players like Brandin Cooks would be looking at significant downgrades in fantasy.
