Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 4

Updated:

Week 3 of the NFL season featured several defenses putting up double-digit points in fantasy football thanks to weak opponents and turnover-filled performances. Week 4 presents plenty more matchups to exploit for managers who opt to stream this position.

If you're one of those managers, The Duel is here to help with three of our top fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 4.

Week 4 Streaming Fantasy Football Defenses

3. Chicago Bears (@ NYG)

Chicago's defense hasn't been a pushover in 2022. The Bears rank No. 13 in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric, and they rank just outside the top 10 in fewest points per game allowed at 19.0. Now they draw a Giants offense that looks far from a world-beating unit with an average of just 18.7 PPG. New York owns one of the league's worst offensive lines, giving up the third-most sacks (13) across the first three games, so Chicago should have plenty of chances to bring Daniel Jones down in the backfield. Jones is also turnover-prone and thrown an interception in two of three games so far, giving this defense another way to generate fantasy points.

2. Indianapolis Colts (vs TEN)

The Colts' defense is coming off of limiting the Chiefs to just 17 points in Week 3, and that momentum could help fuel another great performance against the lowly Titans. Tennessee has struggled on the offensive end, generating the ninth-fewest PPG and looking completely lost when Derrick Henry isn't on top of his game. Indy is well-equipped to slow down Henry, given this unit ranks No. 3 in Football Outsiders' rush-defense DVOA metric and has allowed the third-fewest rushing yards per game. Forcing Ryan Tannehill to beat them through the air is the ideal scenario for the Colts, as he's already tossed 3 interceptions in three games.

1. New York Giants (vs CHI)

Both defenses in Giants-Bears should thrive given the lackluster firepower on both sides. Chicago could potentially be down running back David Montgomery after his Week 3 ankle injury, which would remove the Bears' top offensive weapon. Quarterback Justin Fields has also struggled mightily as a passer in 2022, throwing for a combined 297 yards over three games while tossing 4 interceptions. Chicago hasn't protected Fields well this year, giving up the sixth-most sacks in the league. New York's defense, which has looked competent so far, has a variety of ways to generate fantasy points against this truly lacking Bears offense.
