Week 15 of the NFL season featured several impressive defensive performances across the league, including from teams that weren't widely rostered in fantasy. Week 16 presents plenty more matchups to exploit for managers who opt to stream this position, especially with fantasy playoffs underway.

If you're in need of a defense to play this week, here are our top three streaming defense picks (rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues) to target on the waiver wire.

Week 16 Streaming Fantasy Football Defenses

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs LV)

The Steelers' defense has been remarkably consistent over the past month, allowing either 16 or 17 points in four straight games. Their surging unit lines up for a solid home matchup against the middling Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16, who have been extremely volatile on offense in recent weeks. Raiders QB Derek Carr is also in a massive slump with 6 interceptions over his last four games and three straight weeks with a completion percentage below 56%. Pittsburgh should have little trouble keeping the scuffling gunslinger at bay.

2. Los Angeles Chargers (@ IND)

The Chargers as a whole have been playing much better lately now that they're finally getting healthier, and that includes the defense. LA's unit has allowed just 31 points over its last two games combined, holding the potent Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins in check. Now they get to face a depleted Indianapolis Colts squad that just lost star running back Jonathan Taylor to injury. Look for the Chargers to have a field day against backup quarterback Nick Foles, who is stepping in after Matt Ryan's latest benching and is making just his second start since the beginning of the 2021 season.

1. Los Angeles Rams (vs DEN)

Even with Russell Wilson returning from a concussion this week, the Denver Broncos' offense is still horrible. Denver ranks dead-last in scoring (15.6 points per game) and is averaging the sixth-fewest yards per game as well. The Broncos' offense has been especially abysmal on the road, scoring 10 points or less in each of their last three away games. Expect another quiet performance from Wilson and co. in a meaningless late-season road game.
