Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 14 (Raiders Have Rare Opportunity to Shine)

Updated:

Week 13 of the NFL season featured several impressive defensive performances from teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. Week 14 presents plenty more matchups to exploit for managers who opt to stream this position.

If you're in need of a defense to play this week, here are our top three streaming defense picks (rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues) to target on the waiver wire.

Week 14 Streaming Fantasy Football Defenses

3. Las Vegas Raiders (@ LAR)

The Raiders are one of the weaker defenses in the NFL, but they're a viable fantasy option this week against the depleted Los Angeles Rams. With Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp both on IR, the Rams' offense is a shell of the one that won the Super Bowl earlier this year. Los Angeles ranks 29th in points per game and 31st in yards per game, giving the team a low ceiling under rookie backup QB Bryce Perkins. Meanwhile, Las Vegas has allowed 20 points or less in two of its last three games, so there's potential for a solid performance here.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs BAL)

The Steelers' defense has started to look more like itself lately after a terrible start to the season, allowing fewer than 20 points in five of its last seven games. Pittsburgh also has momentum heading into Week 14's AFC North clash with the Baltimore Ravens after winning three of four games since its Week 9 bye. The Steelers likely won't have to worry about Lamar Jackson this weekend, who is expected to miss 1-3 weeks with a PCL sprain. That gives Pittsburgh a favorable home matchup against backup QB Tyler Huntley and a Baltimore offense that has scored just 50 points over its last three games combined.

1. Tennessee Titans (vs JAX)

Tennessee's defense had been excellent before running into the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13, surrendering more than 22 points in just one game this year prior to that. Look for the Titans to bounce back at home this week versus the mediocre Jacksonville Jaguars, who managed just 14 points against the Detroit Lions' porous defense in Week 13. The Jags have scored 17 points or less in five of their last eight games and Trevor Lawrence could be banged up with a foot injury, so bet on a return to form from Tennessee against a divisional opponent here.
