The Denver Broncos had a disappointing season in the AFC West. However, this is to be expected when you have the league's most expensive defense, but nearly everyone is injured. As expected, this is leading to some changes in Denver this offseason.

The Broncos have already released defensive lineman Jurrell Casey as a strategy to clear up cap space. Denver had a need for more defensive linemen even before the release of Casey, but the vacant hole up front has certainly gotten larger. In order to fill this hole, the Broncos shouldn't look outside the division.

The Las Vegas Raiders have a talented, veteran free agent in Johnathan Hankins. After spending the past three seasons on the Raiders' terrible defense, he has seen his stats take a major dip. However, at 29, there's fuel left in the tank and the statistical dip only means a lower asking price.

Prior to joining the Raiders, Hankins was among the best interior run defenders in the league every season. As expected, his stats took an immediate dip since the move to the Raiders, receiving a grade in the 60s from Pro Football Focus every season.

A change of scenery is needed for Hankins, and he could thrive in a Vic Fangio-coached system. He is the veteran run-stopper the Broncos need, so Denver should steal him away from the Raiders in free agency.
