Getting wide receiver help for Lamar Jackson was a clear priority for the Baltimore Ravens after their run-heavy offense fell flat in the playoffs. Baltimore made a push to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster this offseason, but he took less money to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And now, another wide receiver has passed on the Ravens in what's becoming a disturbing trend.
According to Ian Rapoport, Baltimore made a "strong push" to sign veteran wideout T.Y. Hilton, but he ended up back with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year deal. One source reportedly says that Hilton sided with Indy over a three-year offer from the Ravens.
If true, that is a gut punch to fans and confirms that WRs don't see Baltimore as a favorable destination. Jackson clearly needs help, and this would've been a great offseason to get him some, especially with wideouts signing on cheap one-year deals.
