Outside of the Lombardi Trophy itself, one of the most prestigious awards on the line for this week's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers showdown is the Super Bowl MVP.

FanDuel Sportsbook has Super Bowl MVP odds available for a ton of players. One dark-horse candidate to win MVP is Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Super Bowl MVP Odds

Edwards-Helaire has +3700 odds to win Super Bowl MVP, which places him eighth among all players. His quarterback, Patrick Mahomes (-105), is the leading favorite to take home the award, which is no surprise since this is a QB-dominated honor.

That being said, seven different running backs have won Super Bowl MVP, with the most recent being Terrell Davis in 2003.

Edwards-Helaire was the Chiefs' primary back in the regular season, totaling 1,100 yards from scrimmage and 5 total TDs. However, he's been hampered by hip and ankle injuries that have kept him out since Week 15.

An encouraging sign is that CEH returned for the AFC Championship, taking 6 carries for 7 yards, including a touchdown. It was a good chance for Edwards-Helaire to see game action before the Super Bowl, and now with plenty of extra rest, he is primed to return to form in the Super Bowl.
