Hitting for the cycle is one of the most exciting accomplishments for a batter, but Boston Red Sox prospect Ceddanne Rafaela stepped it up a notch on Tuesday. The 21-year-old capped off a natural cycle by hitting a late-inning home run for the High-A Greenville Drive in what was an 11-6 victory.

Rafaela was the first player in Drive history to hit for the cycle and also the second player to do so in the minor leagues this season. He started the game off with a single in the first inning before doubling during the third inning. A triple in the seventh followed up by a homer in the eight got the job done.

The 14th-round draft pick ended the day with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI, keeping up the momentum he has built throughout the early part of the season. Across 32 games played, Rafaela has posted a slash line of .312/.353/.567 to go along with 28 runs scored, 8 home runs, 26 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

While it'll be a while before Rafaela is seeing plate appearances at Fenway Park, there's no denying that the kid is making a great first impression. His ability to play third base, center field and shortstop gives him versatility and an opportunity to move up the farm system at a faster pace than normal.

Red Sox fans should get used to hearing the name Ceddanne Rafaela if he continues hitting the cover off the baseball. For now, Boston has it eyes set one getting back into the playoff race and currently has odds set at +6000 to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
