At this point, it's hard to be shocked by anything Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes can pull off, following an MVP campaign and Super Bowl title to go with it in just two full years of starting at the NFL level.

However, that doesn't mean we can't appreciate just how incredible Mahomes has been in the first month of the NFL season since taking over the reins in the month of September for the Chiefs.

Mahomes has thrown a total of 76 touchdown passes in his regular-season career, which means more than 30 percent of those have come in the month of September alone. As if his individual stats weren't enough to impress, the man hasn't allowed his team to lose a single game in September either.

The oddsmakers are certainly aligned with this narrative too, with FanDuel Sportsbook leaving the Chiefs as 9-point favorites over the Houston Texans for this year's 2020 NFL season opener at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Thursday night.
