Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After an underwhelming Week 1 showing, the Packers rebounded with a 27-10 victory against the Chicago Bears. The team effort couldn't have happened without running back Aaron Jones, who racked up 20 carries for 181 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Bucs kept their perfect season going after a solid 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints. Generating only 260 yards of offense, it was Tampa Bay's defense that won the game, including how it forced New Orleans to cough up the ball five times (three interceptions, two fumbles).

Packers vs Buccaneers Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: GB: (+106) | TB: (-124)
Spread: GB: +1.5 (-110) | TB: -1.5 (-110)
Total: 41.5 —Over: (-115) | Under: (-105)

Updated (Sunday, Sept. 25, 12:30 p.m. ET): Odds for this game have shifted slightly since opening. The Buccaneers have from 2.5-point favorites to just 1.5 now. The total has also dropped a point from 42.5 to 41.5 as both teams dealing with injured or missing wide receivers.

The Buccaneers enter this contest as the favorite on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds. This 4:25 p.m. ET game also features a total of 42.5, which is currently one of the lower Week 3 projected totals.

Packers vs Buccaneers Prediction & Pick

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have collided four times over their careers, resulting in three victories for TB12. The all-time head-to-head series includes Brady winning each of his two starts against the Packers since joining the Bucs in 2020. While history doesn't always repeat itself, I am siding with Tampa Bay again.

I just don't know if the Packers' offense has what it takes to beat the Buccaneers' defense. Rodgers barely has any chemistry with his young receiving core while Tampa Bay's defensive line is good enough to shut down some of the best run games in the league.

I expect a close game led by two future Hall-of-Fame QBs, but it will be Brady and the Bucs that emerge victorious in their home opener.

Final Score Prediction: Buccaneers: 24 | Packers: 17

Packers vs Buccaneers Betting Trends

- Green Bay is 2-8 straight up in its last 10 road games against Tampa Bay.
- Tampa Bay is 11-2 straight up in its last 13 home games.
- Green Bay is 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in its last seven games against Tampa Bay.
- The total has hit the over in five of Tampa Bay's last seven games against Green Bay.

Packers vs Buccaneers Best Bet

The Packers haven't fared well against the spread when the Buccaneers are concerned, going 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings. If that wasn't a telling sign, Green Bay is also 1-4 ATS in its last five road games.

Throw in the fact that the Buccaneers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against the NFC North and have rarely lost at Raymond James Stadium since Brady's arrival, give me the Bucs on the spread.

Bet: Buccaneers -2.5 (-110)
