NASCAR Fantasy Picks for GEICO 500
With what has become a rare full-week break before our next NASCAR Cup Series race this Sunday in Lincoln, Alabama, let's take a look at three drivers to consider when building your NASCAR fantasy team for the GEICO 500 at 3 p.m. EST on Sunday, June 21.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Rick Stenhouse Jr. hasn't been a common name in our weekly NASCAR fantasy picks, but his impressive, albeit somewhat brief, résumé at Talladega is simply too hard to ignore. Among all active drivers with at least three performances on this track, Stenhouse boasts the best average finishing position (11.62), top-5 finishing rate (38.56 percent), top-10 finishing rate (61.54 percent) and the second-best top-20 finishing rate (76.92 percent). In his 13 career appearances here, Stenhouse has never finished lower than 26th, and he has also placed in the top-10 spots in three of his last four races at Talladega.
Despite having just the eighth-best average finishing position (16.00), Brad Keselowski does boast the highest career winning rate at Talladega by quite some margin with five total first-place finishes. Keselowski's 22.73 percent winning rate blows away Joey Logano's second-best mark of 13.64 percent. Keselowski figures to be more of a boom-or-bust play here though, despite heading into Sunday with the second-best odds of winning the GEICO 500 at +900, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. While no driver in NASCAR has been better than Keselowski over the past six races after he's posted a field-high two wins and a 5.17 average finishing position, Keselowski's recent performances at Talladega, in particular, are a red flag. Across his last four races on this track, Keselowski has been a part of two accidents and averaged a 24.50 finishing position with just a single top-20 placement.
Opposite of Keselowski's recent history at Talladega, Joey Logano has been the driver to beat here. Across his last four races on this track, Logano is tied with Aric Almirola for the best average finishing position (5.25) and the most wins (1), while Logano's three top-5 finishes during this stretch are the most alone. With 123 laps led during that same stretch, only Kurt Busch leads Logano in total laps led at Talladega, with 129. As for career performance here, Logano boasts the second-best winning rate (13.64 percent) and the third-best top-5 finishing rate (36.36 percent) among all active drivers with at least three performances at Talladega. Logano's 319 total laps led also trail only Matt Kenseth (524) and Jimmie Johnson (472), both of whom have each driven 14 more races at Talladega than him.
