The NASCAR All-Star Open might not be the main event of the weekend, but it is an extremely important race. After all, the racers who finish first and second will earn a spot in the All-Star Race later that night. Daniel Suarez and Austin Dillon finished first and second, respectively, in the 2022 Open and while neither man won the main event, Suarez did place fifth.

Josh Berry and Ty Gibbs are currently the NASCAR All-Star Open co-favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook's NASCAR odds at +360. Ryan Preece (+400), Aric Almirola (+550), and A.J. Allmendinger (+1200) round out the top five.

Although the odds-on favorite isn't guaranteed to win, I'm going with Ty Gibbs for my prediction. Gibbs still hasn't won a Cup Series race this season, but he has placed 16th or better in six of his last nine races, which is better than the majority of the field can say. On top of that, four of those races saw him place either ninth or 10th. With a decent amount of momentum on his side, it wouldn't be surprising if he finds himself in the All-Star Race.

NASCAR All-Star Open Best Bet 2023

Although there's value to be had with a Gibbs win at +360 odds, some bettors might be looking for more value. Keeping that in mind, A.J. Allmendinger at +1200 odds is worth considering. The 41-year-old veteran driver oozes experience and has finished as high as sixth place during the 2023 Cup Series. Although he fares better on road courses, his past race history has seen more success than the majority of the field has.
