The arrival of Week 14 of the college football season means conference championship week is officially here. One of the highlights from conference championship weekend is the MAC Championship featuring the Toledo Rockets and Ohio Bobcats.

Where is MAC Championship 2022?

The 2022 MAC Championship will be played at a neutral site, Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Ford Field is home to the NFL's Detroit Lions and holds a capacity of 65,000 seats. It's hosted the MAC Championship since 2004.

When is Toledo vs Ohio MAC Championship?

The 2022 MAC Championship is officially scheduled for Week 14 of the college football season. The game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 3 with a kickoff time scheduled for 12 p.m. ET. The game airs live on ESPN.

MAC Championship Toledo vs Ohio Prediction and Odds 2022

This championship game features the MAC's top two offenses in Ohio (34 PPG, 437 YPG at 6.4 yards per play) and Toledo (33 PPG, 407 YPG at 5.6 YPPL). However, defensively the Rockets are No. 1 in the MAC allowing just 337 yards at 4.8 yards per play while Ohio is last in the MAC allowing 441 yards per game at 6.3 YPPL.

Ohio's pass attack led the MAC at 295 yards per game and 8.9 yards per pass - 60 YPG better than Toledo. But Bobcats QB Kurtis Rourke suffered a torn ACL and meniscus Nov. 15 against Ball State and is out. Backup QB CJ Harris completed 10 of 21 passes for 196 yards with 1 TD, and he ran for 65 yards and 3 TD's in last week's 38-14 win over Bowling Green.

Toledo is in worse shape at quarterback with DeQuan Finn injuring his ankle in a loss to Bowling Green Nov. 15. His mobility is gone but he tried to play last week and threw a crippling pick-6 in the 20-14 loss at Western Michigan. Backup QB Tucker Gleason broke his hand against Bowling Green.

The quarterback injuries and situations suggest less scoring and Ohio's defensive improvement is not factored enough into the total as well.

The first MAC Championship game was played in 1997. The 2022 version will mark Toledo's seventh appearance and Ohio's fifth. Toledo appeared in the title game most recently, a 45-28 win over the Akron Zips in 2017.
