It wasn't pretty, but the Buffalo Bills got the job done in Week 14. Buffalo emerged from Sunday's hard-fought contest against the New York Jets with a 20-12 win, scoring 13 points in the second half to secure the victory.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen was pressed on the offense's recent output after the game. He had the perfect response to the criticism.
A reporter in the postgame press conference said to Allen, "it doesn't look like this offense has shown enough to win the Super Bowl right now." The QB simply responded "okay" and shrugged it off.
This was the best possible way to handle this clear disrespect by a member of the media. It would've been easy for Allen to fire back and give the reporter the reaction they were looking for with that kind of comment, but he kept it classy instead and came out better for it.
Though the Bills haven't been as explosive as of late, this unit still ranked top four in yards and points per game heading into Week 14. Allen is also playing through a serious elbow injury, which has unsurprisingly affected his play.
However, Allen has still be productive despite his ailment, and more importantly he's leading the team to wins.
At 10-3, it's hard to complain about Buffalo's position. In fact, their ability to gut out wins without the offense clicking on all cylinders is a great sign for their chances of contending this postseason.
