The Miami Dolphins put together quite the receiving core this offseason to help second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. And those offseason moves culminated in the selection of his former college teammate Jaylen Waddle with the No. 6 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
While injuries prevented Waddle from having much of a 2020 season, his talent was never in question, and it seems like he's showing off that talent in a big way at Dolphins' OTAs.
DeVante Parker had nothing but great things to say about Waddle thus far.
"Brings another weapon to the team. Another guy who can help us. He’s a quick learner. He listens to what we have to say. You coach him up and he listens to you.”- DeVante Parker
That's certainly what you want to hear about your first-round pick in his first OTAs, especially if the source is your No. 1 receiver. He's someone working closely with Waddle.
Of course a good training camp doesn't always translate to a good rookie year, but early returns seem positive for Waddle in Miami and it sounds like Tua will have all the weapons he needs to be successful.
