The Jacksonville Jaguars have endured their struggles at quarterback during the 2020 season, one of the main reasons the team finds itself with a disappointing 1-9 record. Gardner Minshew led the team to a win in Week 1 before being plagued by inconsistent play.
Minshew's thumb injury cleared the way for Jake Luton to step in as QB, but he produced similar results. In Week 12, head coach Doug Marrone is promoting Mike Glennon to starter.
Minshew was averaging 25.1 completions for 265 yards and 1.9 touchdowns in his seven starts before his injury. In his place, Luton averaged an underwhelming 20 completions and 208 yards, along with 2 interceptions per game. Luton registered 4 INTs against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week11 prior to Marrone's decision to bench him.
Glennon originally began his career as a starter with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he hasn't registered a start since his 2017 season the Chicago Bears. The QB managed a 1-3 record in those four starts for Chicago, averaging 1 TD and 1.3 INTs per game.
Glennon hasn't appeared in a game for Jacksonville this season after signing with the team in the offseason. His first start will come against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Browns as 6.5-point favorites in that matchup.
