Rams Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season

The Los Angeles Rams' Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign takes place on the road against the rival Seattle Seahawks. Last season, they opened with a home game on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, the Rams fell 31-10 in what was their first of 12 losses during the season.

Rams' 2023 Strength of Schedule

According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Rams have the 15th-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 campaign. This is based on the projected win totals of LA' opponents for the upcoming season.

The Rams' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 126-108-3 last season. They'll face a quartet of teams in the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals that won at least 12 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Rams at 6.5 wins, with -105 on the over and -115 on the under. LA's five wins during the 2022 season were its fewest since the 2016 campaign.

Though there's several big names from the team's Super Bowl win left, this simply isn't the same squad. There's legitimate concerns that quarterback Matthew Stafford is on the decline, which would severely limit this already lacking offense. This previously top defense has also lost significant talent, leaving Aaron Donald with little help. It's difficult to see this roster being competitive, even in the NFC.

Bet – Rams: Under 6.5 Wins (-115)

In the Super Bowl market, the Rams are cuerently tied with four other teams at +6000 odds to win it all. There's only five teams with worse odds, including division rival the Arizona Cardinals (+18000).
