FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 11/7/2022

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 11/7, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 11/7/2022

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Fantasy

Target Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, SG/PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($10,400): Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is coming off of a poor outing, but he was on fire prior to that, averaging a whopping 56.9 fantasy points over his three previous games. He gets the perfect matchup to bounce back in the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Detroit is allowing the third-most PPG and fourth-highest field goal percentage to opponents this season. SGA, who's averaging 30.5 PPG and 5.9 APG so far, should thrive as a scorer and playmaker against this weak defense.

Domantas Sabonis Fantasy

Target Domantas Sabonis, C/PF, Sacramento Kings ($8,500): Domantas Sabonis has finally woken up as a scorer. After averaging just 13.5 PPG over the first six contests, he's exploded for 23.5 PPG in his last two outings. That scoring, along with his nightly triple-double potential, gives him alluring fantasy potential if he can keep it up. He has a great chance to stuff the stat sheet tonight against the Golden State Warriors. This contest features the highest over/under of the day, both teams rank in the top five for pace, and the Warriors are allowing the most PPG to opponents so far. This fast-paced, high-scoring game with a ton of possessions expected is the perfect boom opportunity for the do-it-all big man.

Herbert Jones Fantasy

Target Herbert Jones, SF/SG, New Orleans Pelicans ($4,400): Herbert Jones has returned from injury and immediately assumed his large role in New Orleans. He's played 29 and 33 minutes, respectively, in his first two games back. The four-game break seemed to work wonders for him, as he popped off for a season-high 41.8 fantasy points in his last time out. Though that was an outlier based on his previous performances so far, he has the potential to produce based on the sheer volume of minutes (31.7 per night) he's commanding this season. The Indiana Pacers are a plus matchup as a bottom-five scoring defense, so Jones could be a major value if he comes close to the 19 points he notched in his previous outing.

Nikola Jokic Fantasy

Avoid Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($10,700): Nikola Jokic is in the middle of a quiet stretch by his standards. He's only averaging 45.15 FanDuel fantasy points over his last four games, playing under 30 minutes in two of those contests as Denver blew out lesser opponents. Jokic saw just 26 minutes last time out against the San Antonio Spurs as the Nuggets went on to win by 25. Now these teams square off again on Monday, and it'd be no surprise to see similar results. Jokic will produce, but he's more likely to underwhelm than exceed expectations at this price point.

Bam Adebayo Fantasy

Avoid Bam Adebayo, C/PF, Miami Heat ($8,000): Bam Adebayo has picked up his rebounding and playmaking over the last two games with Jimmy Butler out, but the latter is slated to return on Monday, making Adebayo No. 2 on this offense again. Further reducing Adebayo's fantasy appeal is a tough matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland has been one of the league's best in the early going, holding opponents to the sixth-fewest RPG and seventh-fewest PPG. Adebayo didn't have a ton of success in their previous meeting on Oct. 26, posting his third-lowest fantasy point total of the year, so he's far from an exciting choice tonight.
