FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 12/29/2022 (Target SGA in High-Scoring Shootout)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Fantasy

Target Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($10,800): Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to light up the boxscore for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's been especially hot as of late, averaging 57.3 FanDuel fantasy points over his last four contests. Now he draws a perfect matchup to keep it up in the lowly Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte allows the third-most points per game, second-most rebounds and second-most assists, giving SGA massive triple-double potential. This game also boasts the highest over/under of Thursday's slate with the Thunder owning a similarly woeful defense, making Gilgeous-Alexander an incredibly attractive target in a contest expected to feature a ton of possessions.

Julius Randle Fantasy

Target Julius Randle, C/PF, New York Knicks ($9,500): With a light schedule tonight, I'll double-dip on another top-end option in Julius Randle. He's been dominating as a scorer and rebounder recently, posting 55.9, 58.6 and 54.6 fantasy points in his past three contests, respectively. The struggling San Antonio Spurs present the ideal opponent for him to feast once again. San Antonio has given up the most PPG and is only middle-of-the-pack in RPG, so the opportunity for a huge night here is obvious.

Kenyon Martin Jr. Fantasy

Target Kenyon Martin Jr., PF/SF, Houston Rockets ($4,500): Kenyon Martin Jr.'s commanded notable playing time over his last four outings. He's drawn two starts and averaged 27.7 minute per game during this stretch while notching at least 21.6 fantasy points in three of four appearances. Though KMJ has benefited from Eric Gordon sitting out, his 30-point fantasy performance on Dec. 21 was with Gordon in the lineup, so he's capable of producing regardless. Martin is a great candidate to return value at this price point with his current play.

Terry Rozier Fantasy

Avoid Terry Rozier, SG/PG, Charlotte Hornets ($7,500): Terry Rozier's numbers have taken a hit across the board with LaMelo Ball back. Rozier has gone from averages of 22.9 PPG, 5.8 APG and 5.4 RPG in games without Ball active to 15.8/5.0/2.7 with the latter in the lineup. Further hurting Rozier's current fanasty relevance is his latest cold streak. He's scored just 26 points combined over his last two games and shot a dismal 25.7% from the floor. Managers shouldn't want any part of Rozier right now.

Christian Wood Fantasy

Avoid Christian Wood, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks ($8,300): Christian Wood's racked up over 100 fantasy points in his last two outings, but he may come back down to earth tonight. Wood struggled against the Houston Rockets when they last played on Dec. 23, failing to record double digits in either points or rebounds and finishing with a lackluster 25 fantasy points on the day. Houston is the Kryptonite for any rebound-dependent big man, as the Rockets have held opponents to the fifth-fewest RPG this season. Wood's potential appears severely capped in this matchup.
