Eagles Give Concerning Update on Jordan Davis After Week 13 Return

Updated:

Philadelphia Eagles rookie defensive tackle Jordan Davis was back on the field in Week 13 for the first time since Week 8. Davis was sidelined due to an ankle injury, and the team was excited to have him active again.

That excitement was short-lived though. Davis only played six snaps in Week 13. Offensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon revealed that was the case in part because of a limited snap count being part of the plan, but also unfortunately in part because the injury was still bothering him.

Davis hasn't been playing a whole lot his rookie year, topping out at a 42 percent snap share in Week 5. It's presumed once he is healthy we could see that increase, but when Davis will be fully healthy seems like anyone's guess right now.

The Eagles are humming along at 11-1 but getting David back would provide some valuable depth along the defensive line, especially as the season closes out and the playoffs begin.

Philadelphia goes up against the New York Giants in Week 14, where the Eagles are a 6.5-point road favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
