Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season includes an inter-conference game between the Washington Commanders and Indianapolis Colts. Once looking like they were on life support, the Commanders have bounced back with two straight wins, defeating the Green Bay Packers, 23-21, in their last outing.

Meanwhile, the Colts reverted to their losing ways with a 19-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans over the weekend. Turnovers were, once again, the theme of the days for Indianapolis as quarterback Matt Ryan threw a pair of interceptions while wideout Michael Pittman lost a fumble.

Commanders vs Colts Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: WSH: (+128) | IND: (-152)
Spread: WSH: +3 (-115) | IND: -3 (-105)
Total: 40.5 —Over: (-105) | Under: (-115)

The Colts enter this contest as slight favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's updated odds. This NFL London clash also features a total of 40.5, which is among the lowest of the Week 8 totals.

Commanders vs Colts Prediction & Pick

Ryan is out for the Colts as second-year QB Sam Ehlinger replaces him under center for the rest of the season. Ehlinger has yet to attempt a pass in the NFL, so it may take the former Texas Longhorn some time before he starts producing on-field results.

Even though the Commanders are far from contenders, their play has improved in recent weeks. They've held opponents to 21 or fewer points in the last three weeks, which could be trouble for a Colts team averaging the third-fewest points this season.

From the offensive line to the pass rush, the Colts have many areas to work on. Having said that, Washington is still a sub-.500 team and Indianapolis has shown flashes of better play at times this season. I can see the Colts stepping up to get Ehlinger his first career win, especially in front of the hometown crowd.

It may not be pretty, but Indy should get it done here.

Final Score Prediction: Colts: 21 | Commanders: 19

Commanders vs Colts Betting Trends

- Washington is 2-8 straight up in its last 10 road games against Indianapolis.
- Indianapolis is 8-2 against the spread (ATS) in its last 10 games against the NFC.
- The total has hit the under in four of Washington's last five games.
- The total has hit the under in 11 of Indianapolis' last 12 games.

Commanders vs Colts Best Bet

Offense lovers will be disappointed in this game. The Commanders and Colts own bottom-eight offenses this season while also combining for only 34.0 PPG. The total has also hit the under in four of Washington's last five games, as well as in six of Indianapolis' seven games this season.

With both sides' QB situation being less-than-ideal at the moment, I'll take the under here.

Bet: Under 40.5 Points (-115)
