NetEnt Partners With PlayLive! In Pennsylvania

Behemoth software provider NetEnt is gaining new ground in the US market, becoming the newest partner of The Cordish Companies’ Pennsylvania online casino, PlayLive!. This is a huge step towards increasing the developer’s presence in the state, and according to the agreement, NetEnt will begin offering its range of online casino slots and table games to the operator’s players.

NetEnt’s Market Position

NetEnt is a NASDAQ listed company on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and a pioneer of online casino gaming since 1996. It is one of the international companies to break into the US gambling market, and the brains behind hits like Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, and Divine Fortune.

Coming in from signing a deal with Pennsylvania’s Wind Creek Casino just last month, the developer is taking another big step with this PlayLive! partnership. So far, Pennsylvanians have shown much love for NetEnt’s games, which is why PlayLive! was eager to seal the agreement.

In fact, in a statement by the Vice President of Marketing at PlayLive!, Brian Uran, he said, “As one of the first suppliers to go-live in Pennsylvania, NetEnt’s portfolio is must-have for any operator looking to compete in the online sector.” He further stated that this partnership was a priority for the casino.

PlayLive! – A Major Contender in Pennsylvania

PlayLive! was launched in August 2020 as a brand of The Cordish Companies. It became the first online casino to launch without a physical operating venue as required by the state. The Cordish Companies currently has two land-based casinos in the works in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh establishment will be opening later this year, while the Philadelphia venue is scheduled to debut sometime in 2021.

NetEnt hopes to grow its market share in the state further, and it believes in achieving this with PlayLive!. According to Brian Kraft, who is NetEnt’s Vice President Commercial, Americas,  “PlayLive! will be a major contender in Pennsylvania’s online market and we’re proud to be supporting The Cordish Companies with this new venture.”

He added that NetEnt has a diverse collection of table games with something to suit every taste, and its casino portfolio will help PlayLive! to cross-sell to its existing land-based player base and also attract new audiences.
