The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a primetime matchup in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. While Tampa Bay owns of the league's best records at 7-3, Bucs QB Tom Brady is looking to turn around his team's struggles against top opponents.
The Bucs won't have an easy game in Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs, who stand at 9-1 following their Sunday night. While FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs as marginal 2.5-point favorites against the Bucs, it's disrespectful to Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay stands at 7-3 thanks in part to a retooled offense led by Brady, who is on track for his best statistical season since 2017. The QB legend is fifth in TDs thrown (23) and seventh in yards (2,739). He has a cache of receiving options to turn to, with eight different Bucs catching a TD pass this season.
Running back Ronald Jones also offers Tampa Bay a forceful presence in the backfield. The RB ranks fifth in yards (730) and is tied for 11th in rushing TDs (5). Jones should be in for a productive day against a Chiefs defense that is allowing the seventh-most rushing yards per game (133.5) this season.
Tampa Bay's defense is another factor that should pose problems for the Chiefs. The Bucs are currently rated as the best defense in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric and allow the ninth-fewest points per game (22.6) this season.
The Chiefs' defensive issues were showcased in their tightly contested game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Kansas City's defense allowed what could've been a game-winning touchdown to Las Vegas with less than two minutes before QB Patrick Mahomes bailed them out with last-minute magic.
Tampa Bay's well-rounded offensive and defensive attack should make them a threat to upset the Chiefs in Week 12.
