The Denver Broncos made a huge splash on Wednesday, trading a sixth-round pick for Teddy Bridgewater just one day before the NFL Draft.
It's no secret they've been looking to upgrade on Drew Lock, and they've been in the conversation as one of the teams likely to draft one of the top five quarterbacks in this year's class.
The latest NFL Draft odds from FanDuel Sportsbook show that adding Bridgewater may have taken them out of the quarterback market for now, however.
Broncos Mock Draft
The favorite to be the Broncos' first pick in the draft is Northwestern offensive lineman Rashawn Slater.
Slater has +250 odds to be the Broncos' first pick, which puts him well ahead of Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, who is second place at +360. After that is Jaycee Horn at +600.
The first quarterback in the odds ranks fourth, with Ohio State's Justin Fields getting +650 odds (tied with Penei Sewell). The rest of the players with better than 10-to-1 odds are Patrick Surtain II (+750) and Try Lance (+900).
Seeing as the Broncos only invested a sixth-round pick in Bridgewater, it's surprising to see the odds shift this drastically away from a quarterback. Slater is certainly an elite OL prospect though, having received an overall grade of 90.0 from Pro Football Focus in his last season.
